Testimonials
This job has changed my life. When my son was born, who would later be diagnosed
with a Pervasive Developmental Disorder, I began looking for a job that I could do from home. It
seemed like everything I ran into was a scam, or telemarketing, which I do not enjoy. I ran across
Hot Topic Media, and was absolutely THRILLED when they called me back and I began the interview process.
I was skeptical, of course, because like I said, everything else was a scam. I was also leery of
literally cutting my income in half, as my previous job was a fairly high salary. I did the math,
though, and realized that even starting out at a lower wage, with the price of gas, daycare,
clothes and lunches - I was not losing a dime. And the benefits are great, including PTO from
a job that you work at home anyway! And the benefits to my family, especially my son, have been
phenomenal. My son has blossomed with me being at home, and we recently had another baby as well.
The family centered atmosphere here is WONDERFUL - everyone understands about kids climbing all
over you and all the little hiccups that can arise because of that. Its great to have this flexible
day, as well. If I need to work in the middle of the night, I can, or around nap schedules, driving
kids to games, whatever may arise.
The people here make it easy to succeed as well. Everyone is VERY helpful, always available for questions
and willing to jump in and lend a hand. I literally LOVE my job - I brag about it to people all the time
and they are all like "Tell me what you DO!"

It took me 10 years to find a legitimate work at home job and it was well worth the wait. I still can't
believe that I am part of a company where all the employees are virtually working together as one great
team. If you are looking for a career with a well respected company where you can utilize your professional
experience, have a challenge and opportunity for growth, all without leaving the comfort from your home,
then this is the perfect work environment for you.
I'm going on 2 years with this company and being able to have my own career, make an income and have the
flexibility of spending quality time at home with my children is priceless.

After nine years of working in corporate america as an Account Executive in Television, I had the luxury
of taking some time off from the work force to enjoy my family. I soon found that planning play dates
and being a school volunteer wasn't stimulating enough for me, and a friend referred me to a small company
based out of Santa Monica, CA as a possible answer to my doldrums.
I admit, I was hesitant at first, not believing that you could actually have a career working solely from
a home-based office. However, after being impressed through a series of professional interviews and
learning more about the company; I took the plunge and joined the virtual workforce with Hot Topic Media.
Four years later, I can only say that I'm thrilled that I took the leap and joined the company. My role
with the company has expanded to the point that I'm working in a fully professional capacity again and
yet am still enjoying the luxury of working in my home. Hot Topic Media is an incredible group of
professionals, not just a nameless faceless employer. The leadership team actually cares about and is
committed to work/life balance and rewards work based on effort and results.
It's been a refreshing change, working here. If you're a "displaced professional" with talent to spare
and looking for an outlet that will actually appreciate your efforts, I highly recommend the company.

I always thought working from home was just a dream. I always wished it was possible, but never really
believed it would happen. When I researched "work from home" opportunities, they turned out to be a
disappointment... or worse, a scam. To my surprise and great excitement, working for Hot Topic Media
is a real job that pays real money, and it's actually fun. But my excitement about this job goes so
far beyond the "job" itself. It's the gift I have to be able to stay at home with my children, as well
as earning a nice income.
Let’s walk through a typical day - say, as a working parent of small children. Get up at 5 AM, rush
to get the kids ready and drop them off at daycare. Rush to your office job... but the overturned
tractor trailer on the highway makes you late, and your boss is mad. You work till 5 PM (if you are lucky),
sit through traffic and pick up your kids before the daycare charges you another late fee. You get home and
throw something together for dinner. You've just spent your entire day PAYING a higher price than money
could ever quantify. You missed out on time with your family that you can't get back... not to mention
you are probably going to develop hypertension with all of that stress.
Now picture this. You wake up, have some breakfast and sit down with your pajamas on, a nice hot cup of
coffee, and your computer. The kids are right there with you. All the while, you are WORKING and getting
paid! Maybe that afternoon you want to take the kids to the park, so you head out. Did you have to
take a day of leave to do this? No, because you choose when you work. You don't have to fight traffic,
pay daycare, or miss out on your time with your family. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Working for Hot Topic Media has been a great experience for me and for my family. I've been able work
for a company that strives to help their employees by training and developing their skills while being
there to help my family as needed. The flexibility of this company creates the ultimate work/family
balance. I feel like I have a career where I can offer ideas and develop areas of interest and continue
to grow.

I chose to find a work at home position because I have three small children, and getting a job in the
city where I live with low pay and also having to pay child care is nearly impossible for me. My search
was very challenging and frustrating for me. I applied for a job with Hot Topic Media, though I was bit
skeptical because of all of the scams out there. I have to admit I fell for a scam or two, so I learned
to be more cautious.
From the first time I was contacted throughout the interviewing process I became more at ease. The
staff has been amazing - everyone is so nice and down to earth. Best of all we can relate to each
other because many of us are working mothers. I was amazed at how nice everyone is - you just do not
get this kind of treatment at work anymore. They make me feel welcome and comfortable with going to
anyone for questions. I did not feel lost and left on my own to figure things out.
The thing I like about my job is that I can stay home with my children and work throughout the day or
night because it is a 24/7 operation. I choose my own times when I would like to work, and there is
always someone online to help. I also love the idea that I am saving so much by not paying child care.
I have to say I have never worked for a company who really shows that they genuinely care about me and
want to help me become successful. At first, my friends and family were in denial; they could not
believe that this job was legit, that it was too good to be true. I have been here for almost 9 months
and I am enjoying every moment of it.
What people need to know is that working from home can be challenging but it is well worth it. To do
this job you must have self discipline, and desire to be a part of a team. Hot Topic Media understands
that and does everything they can to help us maintain that balance.
